Information about the New Jersey Age-Friendly Advisory Council
In March of 2021, the NJ Governor signed an Executive Order formalizing the State's commitment to advancing age-friendly communities. The Executive Order called for the formation of the NJ Age-Friendly Advisory Council, with administrative leadership under the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services.
Below are unofficial meeting highlights written by Age-Friendly North Jersey (AFNJ) participant Janet Sharma, Director of Age-Friendly Englewood and a member of the NJ Age-Friendly Advisory Council.
